From 1 April 2023, owners selling a detached house or a category F or G dwelling will be subject to a new energy audit in addition to the DPE. This audit will be mandatory at the time of sale and is designed to address thermal deficiencies. Introduced as part of the Climate and Resilience Act, this mandatory audit, which is the responsibility of the vendor, must provide clear information on the "pathologies" of the property and the priority work scenarios to be undertaken.
